Day 1
PARIS – ROUEN – MONT-ST.-MICHEL – 360KM
On arrival in Paris you are met by your tour coach and proceed to Upper Normandy region. We drive through the rural area west of Paris to the historic city of Rouen.
We will discover the square where Joan of Arc was burnt in 1431 and the famous Cathedral which was painted in several works of Monet. Stop for lunch on the road.
Then continue the tour through the beautiful region of Lower Normandy direction of Le Mont-St.-Michel, a masterpiece which stands on a rock in the middle of St. Michel Bay.
Tonight we invite you to stroll around the picturesque streets of the village of St. Michel.
Day 2
MONT-ST.-MICHEL – LE MANS – TOURS – 280KM
After breakfast, our local guide will take you on a guided tour to this fantastic and unique Abbey of Mont St. Michel classified as World Heritage by Unesco. After the visit we continue direction of Tours. Stop for lunch on the road.
Proceed to Tours, ancient capital of the kingdom of France and nowadays Loire’s Valley capital. Known throughout the world as Kings Valley the region has one of the most impressive collections of Castles in the World.
Day 3
TOURS – CHENONCEAU – POITIERS – COGNAC – BORDEAUX – 400KM
After breakfast, prepare yourself to live a unique experience visiting this former Kings and Queen’s Castle’s region.
Our local guide will take us to the fairytale Château de Chenonceau, Catherine de Medici’s Château, built on the river Cher. After the visit we proceed to Poitiers for our lunch stop. Then we continue our trip to Cognac famous for its precious liquid.
You will have the opportunity to do taste this precious Cognac at Hennessy Cognac. Afterwards we continue to Bordeaux. On arrival we will do an orientation tour of the city.
Day 4
BORDEAUX – CARCASSONNE – MONTPELLIER – 490KM
After breakfast, we drive direction of Carcassonne through the Bordeaux wine areas. We will stop for lunch and to visit this beautiful medieval fortified village of Carcassonne, which was classified as World Heritage by Unesco in 1997.
Afterwards we continue our trip direction of Montpellier. We will see the Mediterranean Sea for the first time. We will be crossing the beautiful vineyards of Languedoc-Roussillon until we reach the city where Nostradamus studied medicine and treated victims of the plague.
Day 5
MONTPELLIER – NIMES – PONT DU GARD – AVIGNON – AIX-EN-PROVENCE – NICE – 350KM
After breakfast, we will be driving direction of Nimes, where we will do an orientation tour drive through this ancient roman city and see the well preserved Roman amphitheatre “Les Arènes” and Roman Temple “Maison Carrée” with more than 2 000 years old.
Then we continue to Pont du Gard where we will stop and visit this Roman Aqueduct, a monumental feat of engineering with more than 2 000 years old. After strolling around this beautiful place we continue to Avignon.
We will stop for pictures of the magnificent Palace of the Popes and the bridge of the popular song. After lunch we continue our trip direction of Aix-en-Provence where we will stop to stroll around this colourful town, birthplace of the well known painter Paul Cézanne.
Afterwards we continue to Côte d’Azur and we will stop for our overnight in Nice.
Day 6
NICE – MONACO – TURIN – CHAMONIX – 460KM
After breakfast, we will drive along the beautiful Côte d’Azur in direction of Monaco. On arrival in Monaco we will do an orientation tour of the most interesting spots of Monaco.
Then we continue our trip direction Chamonix via Turin. We will be entering Italy. We will drive along the scenic route in the Aosta Valley in direction of the Tunnel of Mont-Blanc.
We will stay in Chamonix, the mountaineering capital of France. Chamonix stands in the shadow of the Alps highest peak, Mont-Blanc.
Day 7
CHAMONIX – DIJON – 350KM
After breakfast, prepare yourself to live a lifetime experience. A cable car will takes us from Chamonix (1030m) to L’Aiguille du Midi (3778m) in 20 minutes and then we will take a lift to reach the peak of L’Aiguille du Midi.
From the very top you will admire this overwhelming view over the Valley of Chamonix , the Alpes and the highest peak in Europe with 4809 meters high, Le Mont-Blanc.
Afterwards we leave this spectacular site to head to Dijon, Capital of Burgundy from 11th and 15th century. Known throughout the World, for its famous mustard and for its colourful tiles roof.
Day 8
DIJON – PARIS – 315KM
After breakfast, we will take on an orientation tour through the city of Dijon and afterwards we will comfortably drive to Paris. On arrival in Paris, afternoon at leisure for shopping.
Day 9
PARIS
After breakfast, our local guide will take you on a guided tour through the most important places of Paris, like Eiffel Tower, Opera Garnier, Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, Latin Quarter and many other places.
Afternoon at leisure.
Day 10
PARIS
After breakfast, say “Au revoir” to Paris as we transfer to the airport.
